Bentwood armchair manufactured by Fischel in Austria, circa early 1900’s.
dimensions ~ frame 600mmW x 970mmH x seat 520mmD x 460mmH
The beechwood frame is in excellent condition, especially given it’s considerate age. It is absolutely beautiful, made by steaming and gently bending the wood to make its curves, then allowing it to cool and solidify. The seat has been replaced at some stage which has been reflected in the pricing. Fischel makers mark on the underside of the frame.
